ABOUT THE CREATOR OF THIS WEBSITE

My name is Hugo and I´m a big fan of many sports, especially track and field, weightlifting, gymnastics and martial arts. I have practiced basketball, paddle tennis, track and field and martial arts throughout my life. Practicing sports has contributed to my personal growth and has also helped me and continues to help me know myself.

However, I have not had it easy in life. The lack of means, support and opportunities, in addition to being forced to live the lives of others, did not allow me to develop as an athlete to the level that I dreamed of and aspired to. That context, along with the enthusiasm I had, were the triggers that led me to look for life and resort to learning on my own about sports training.

The fact of turning to books, attending some seminars and watching YouTube tutorials from great coaches increased my knowledge about physical preparation and training in certain sports. During this trip I had the opportunity to discover and appreciate the importance of kinesiology and biomechanics, both fundamental branches to understand and achieve a movement that is effective and efficient in any sport skill. At first, due to my lack of knowledge and ignorance, I had to deal with sources that were not entirely reliable. But as I learned and met more authorities, it was easier to contrast and dismiss the smokers. Obviously having knowledge without putting it into practice is of no use, and I have also noticed changes in the technique of various sporting actions, as well as in my physical abilities. I am increasingly convinced that I have a lot of room for improvement and I have not lost hope of reaching a higher level. I would not like to leave this life without achieving many of my established goals. Regardless of the final result, it will always be positive if I manage to change a lot and reach a higher level than I was at the beginning, even if I don’t manage to reach the top.

All this experience and learning have allowed me to see sports from a scientific perspective. I consider sports to be both art and science. And that physical activity should form a habit in anyone because of the great contributions it brings. It is the best medicine that exists to always stay young and healthy along with a good diet and a good rest. Other reasons why I consider sports practice essential is that thanks to it we can develop as people on the motor and physical levels, in addition to contributing to the mental and spiritual levels. There is no other means with which we can develop on a motor and physical level. And a sedentary lifestyle prevents the full development of a human being in all its pillars.

But it doesn’t all end here. The fact of being self-taught and wanting to learn from the best has pushed me to develop other transversal skills, such as having a good level of technical English in sports sciences, mastering different computer programs, learning about financial education and investment, valuing the importance of psychology to contribute to better performance…

Life experiences have also taught me all of the following things:

  • The importance of surrounding yourself with people better than you to learn and improve.
  • Being in an environment with people with whom you understand and share a lot in common, and failing that it is better to be alone than in bad company.
  • Run away from toxic people and places where you are not valued, respected or allowed to prosper.
  • Avoid living in slavery and being a vassal of others.
  • Don’t wait for others to solve your problems; no matter how lost and confused you are, you must be the one to take the initiative and worry about fixing them.
  • From time to time, dare to try alternative paths to see if they might work, and not always do what everyone else does simply out of habit or tradition.
  • Nothing is achieved in this life without perseverance and self-discipline, as many times these qualities surpass natural talent.
  • The importance of having a long-term vision, setting short, medium and long-term goals, but at the same time being flexible enough to change some of your objectives on your roadmap based on your experiences, acquired knowledge and circumstances.
  • Learning to live in the present moment with the good and the bad, but without losing awareness that actions in the present can leave their mark on the future, and without ceasing to work to achieve the objectives proposed for the long term.
  • One lives much happier when one never betrays one’s principles and lives according to them.
  • Being free implies the ability to be in control, but the price you must pay to do well is that you must be responsible, self-disciplined and self-sufficient.

I am clear that as human beings who come to this world to live a life for a certain period of time we have the following two missions. As individuals, our goal is to know ourselves and find our purpose in life. Once we have found it, we must fully dedicate ourselves to it in order to develop and reach our maximum potential. At the same time, as members of a society we have the mission of leaving the world better than we found it. I have been clear for a long time about what my passions are and why they are in life, and through them I want to impact the world.

This website is a way to continue growing as a person and build a legacy to leave in this world. It is a project that is born from the ideas of freedom.

“No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old
without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”

“We were designed for success,
but unfortunately most of us were educated for failure.”

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

Otherwise you´ll never be the good at them.”
